82.)CASED LUFTWAFFE GLIDER PILOT'S BADGE; VINTAGE 1960'S COPY: superb early copy of solid silver metal alloy, slightly vaulted in construction and wonderfully detailed. This is one of those Juncker copies that were introduced to the market in the early 1980's (as genuine period pieces!). Now darkly toned with a very convincing tarnish. Note too that the swastika detail is cut out in the upper quadrant. With separately applied eagle device having two smooth rivets on reverse. High quality 12mm wide barrel hinge with long pointed silver pin that comes to point. Pin arches up slightly from hinge. Reverse of eagle is die-stuck with maker 'C.E.Juncker, Berlin SW'. With correct 'C' hook catch. Case is 73x85mm dark blue leatherette with embossed metallic lettering on lid "Segel=Flugzeugfuhrer=Abzeichen" (Glider Pilot's Badge). Case is 26mm deep and with functioning spring button catch. Interior is lined with plush blue velvet and is slotted to accommodate hinge/pin assembly. Upper interior is lined with padded blue satin. 83.)SPECTACULAR GERMAN ARMY OFFICER'S VISOR CAP: a really impressive piece of workmanship, the product of a Dutch tailor and is circa mid-1970's so it has a bit of accumulated age to it. Again, this is a 35-year piece of replica headgear from Holland; not one of the more commonly encountered replicas found in the market today. Constructed of fine officer quality doeskin wool, perfect peak and profile, padded and bolstered, really nicely shaped and a wonderful display piece as evidenced by our photos. Piped with gold metallic cord around the crown and around the upper/lower dark green badge cloth wool cap band. With perfect black patent leather visor having brown underside. Complete with gold braided chin cord fastened at sides with 12mm wide gold pebbled buttons. Gold bullion wire eagle and wreath are absolutely stunning; meticulously hand embroidered on dark green badge cloth wool. Our photos demonstrate just how superb this bullion workmanship is.
