3.)THIRD REICH GERMAN PASSPORT NAMED TO LUFTWAFFE OFFICER: 4x6" dark olive brown covers with national eagle/swastika and title "Deutsches Reich Reisepass" (German Passport). With eight pages of inks stamps, notations, entries, etc. Named to 29-year old Luftwaffe captain "Hauptmann Friedrich-Wilhelm Kausner" and dated at time of issue to him '22 Juni 1939'. First page shows tax dues stamp with cachet cancellation as issued by the Berlin civilian police. Second page has photo of him in uniform tied to page with ink stamp 'Polizeiprasident im Berlin, 144 Polizeirevier' (Head Police Inspectorate in Berlin, 144th Precinct). Page 4 has ink stamped notation 'In=und Ausland' meaning that this officer's passport was valid for travel within and outside the confines of the Reich. Also shows that passport was valid for a term of four years, until '22 Juni 1944'. Numerous border crossing inkstamps detailing his travel to and from Switzerland ('Schwiez') by rail; also traveled to Italy as indicated by the ink stamps located at base of page 7. Note the German border protection police ink stamps at rail station in Konstanz on the Swiss border "Deutsche Passkontrolle Konstanz-Bahnhof Grenzpolizei-kommissariat" [translates to=German Immigration Authority at Konstanz Railway Station, Border Protection Police Commissioner]. On page 8 is a Swiss notation that this officer paid 50 Swiss Francs for customs duty on '3/VIII 39' and with Swiss border control inkstamp. Note, too, the Swiss border police ink stamps on page 32. These were placed in his passport by the Swiss border police 'Grenzpolizei' at Basel, Switzerland. SOLD


 

4.)FIRE PROTECTION POLICE M43 SERVICE CAP: absolutely wonderful piece of headgear. Fire Protection Police Prussian blue wool body heavily padded. Nice profile and shape, a true M43 type cap. With 2mm wide carmine wool piping around crown. With stamped aluminum metal police eagle device on front original to cap. Below is single silver pebbled button correctly fastened with two split pins. Prussian blue wool covered soft and flexible visor. Interior of cap is lined with dark blue satin. Faintly maker marked 'Liegler. No mothing to wool. Mild soiling to lining from use. Condition of wool's nap is excellent. SOLD


 

5.)1939 IRON CROSS 1ST CLASS; SCREW-BACK TYPE: just an outstanding example. Perfect smooth black enamel finish to center; very light wear on high relief area of swastika. Crisp '1939' date and swastika is sharp and angular. Bright mirror-like nickel silver plated frame shows mild tarnish. Reverse of cross is silver frosted finished and lightly toned. With 28mm wide convex silver frosted locking disc having raised area for finger grip. Reverse of cross has a high screw-post and with top hook on upper cross arm. Lower cross arm is marked with maker's code 'L55' for the firm of Rudolf Wachtler&Lange. This is a particularly nice specimen. EXC++$565.00. To Order


6.)IMPERIAL WORLD WAR ONE 4-PLACE RIBBON BAR: 3" long with double-wrapped and padded ribbons in the imperial style. 3" long with 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class; 1914-1918 Bavarian Military Service Cross; 1914-1918 Cross of Honor with swords device for combatant; 1914 Bavarian War Service Medal; 1914-1918 Imperial State of Wurttemburg 9-Year Long Service Medal. With red wool backing fabric and with long brass pin. SOLD


 

7.)NSDAP POLITICAL LEADER'S ARMBAND: for senior political leadership rank of "Leiter einer Stelle" (literally translates to Nazi Party post leader). 5" wide crimson wool construction with separately applied white ribbed roundel in center. Has machine sewn on black 'tape type' swastika which is edged in hand applied gold bullion cord. Border of white roundel is likewise edged with rope-like gold bullion cord. Upper and lower borders of armband have 1cm wide machine sewn on crimson red tresse embroidered with gold oakleaves. Also piped along upper and lower borders with 2mm wide white cord for 'Kreis" [Nazi Party district] level of leadership. Has intact paper RZM tag on reverse. This NSDAP political leader would have been the senior official posted at a Nazi Party district headquarters. EXC++ $695.00. To Order


8.)WORLD WAR TWO GERMAN ARMY FIELD TELEPHONE: known as the M1933 'Feldfernsprecher', the standard field telephone of the German Armed Forces. 3x4x9" hard dark brown bakelite case with recessed black finished steel claps at front. Complete with handset and long brown insulation covered cord that plugs into receptacle at top of unit. Headset fits neatly inside cradle on the top of unit. Complete with crank which screws into side port on outside of case or fits neatly into storage position on top when not in use. Connection area is crisply eagle/swastika waffenamt proof marked and unit is also '1944' dated along with wartime maker's code 'ded'. Inside lid has two schematic diagrams showing connections; upper outside has military alphabet from letters 'A' to 'Z' with such designations as "A=Anton", "H=Heinrich" and "W"=Wilhelm. Overall excellent condition as these are found with a little oxidation browning to some of the metal screws and parts. SOLD


9.)NAZI PARTY FEMALE VOLUNTEER LEAGUE RECRUITING POSTER: genuine Third Reich period and removed from a German railroad station by an American GI. For the 'NSDAP-Frauenschaft' the Nazi Party's female branch of volunteers, an elite organization of well-bred young woman (much like our Junior League) many of whom were the daughters or wives of prominent Nazi officials or hierarchy. The 'NS-Frauenschaft' performed various civic volunteer services, raised money for the many different Nazi Party relief organizations and performed propaganda/educational instruction (for example, how to raise a proper Nazi family). Poster is 16x23" and is mounted in a contemporary frame with glass. Note that poster is simply placed inside of frame and not in any way glued or fastened. In center is the emblem of the 'NS-Frauenwerk' and above is call to service "Hilf mit im Deutschen Frauenwerk" (Volunteer with the German Woman's League). Note 'life rune' in center and runic pin-wheel swastika, both emblems of the NS-Frauenschaft. Poster has been folded into fours, as was originally done when issued. No rips to paper or tears. Makes a great display item, already framed and attractively mounted. SOLD
