10.)GERMAN ARMY OFFICER'S TROPICAL SUN HELMET: so-called 'officer's type' of olive brown woolen fabric on rigid cork body. Absolutely perfect specimen with flawless profile and shape. Dark green leather trim around entire border of visor, soft and supple and intact. Matching dark green leather chinstrap also in a perfect state of preservation. With Wehrmacht eagle shield on wearer's left side, matching national colors shield on opposite side. Both shields are in superb+ condition. Interior of sun helmet is lined with crimson wool and with pigskin leather sweatband. Inside of leather is marked with size '57' and date of production '1942'. Pretty much pristine all around but for the slightest of age to pigskin leather. SOLD
11.)GENUINE THIRD REICH PERIOD 1939 KNIGHT'S CROSS TO THE IRON CROSS NECK RIBBON: 12" length of clean Knight's Cross ribbon, 45mm wide and with 13" long tie strings at ends. Has been mounted with Knight's Cross given light tarnish soiling in center from where loop rested. Ends have been neatly folded over and tailored with hand sewn features. Without a doubt this is a genuine period length of ribbon, however may have been fashioned as such years ago post-war. I don't know, it's impossible to say. Nonetheless, it's genuine period…not a hint of florescence in the presence of a black light. It just radiates the right feel and texture of the genuine ribbons. SOLD
12.)THIRD REICH PLAQUE FOR THE DONATION AND TRAINING OF HORSES: the German Army was mechanized by true horse power and any citizen who made a significant contribution to the war effort by training riders or supplying horses was recognized by this rather rarely encountered award. Known as the 'Plakette fur Zurverfugungstellung von Pferden' (Plaque for the Donation and Training of Horses), an impressive black finished magnetic plaque with dimensions 4 ½" wide and rather thick and heavy. Shows stallion in raised relief with oak leaf border around plaque; at base is bold and impressive national eagle/swastika in high raised relief. Reverse has raised relief inscription "Fur Verdienste um die Wehrhafte Ertuchtigung der Deutschen Reitjugend" [For Service in the Pre-Military Training of Young German Riders]. At base is facsimile Hitler signature and SA runic logo. The SA was the political organization that oversaw this equine program as a wartime contribution effort. Comes with its original heavy brown cardboard carton of issue. Plaque is in absolutely flawless condition; carton shows light age from the years. EXC++$365.00. To Order

15.)1939 IRON CROSS 2ND CLASS: perfect matte finished center, the type of finish that’s like a black eggshell. Crisp swastika, sharply struck and in high relief. ‘1939’ date is similarly well struck. Bright nickel-silver finished frame, mirror-like. Ring is marked with maker’s code ‘L/11’ for the prestigious Deumer firm of Ludenscheid. With clean full length original ribbons.
