OC121.)NAVAL BOARDING AX, CIRCA EARLY 1800'S: early European naval boarding ax, most likely British Royal Navy although this cannot be said for certain. Massive,14" long with tapered hardwood handle that's embossed with cross-hatching for grip. Long iron shank and ax with pick. Ax head is dark with gray toning, natural steel. Could easily be dated in the 1780-1850 period. Hard to say with these as all of these decades look pretty much alike. Weighs over 2 pounds. EXC++++
