G330.)HJ/LUFTSCHUTZ RATION BAG: without question this ration bag is genuine period although I have to say that we have never seen another. It's a typical HJ ration bag, 9x13" dimensions, gray canvas construction. All of the buttons are the HJ type faux braided leather. Has all of the proper leather loops, 'D' rings and hooks. On the front are stenciled letters 'H J' and with black printed Luftschutz wing-swastika emblem. Absolutely no question -- and you'll agree -- that these stencils have been on this bag since 1944. Bag shows age and wear and soiling, some rust staining too. Kind of a period treasure, actually. No rips nor any holes to fabric.
