G477.)HJ FANFARE TRUMPET: in a good state of preservation, needs some TLC and restoration workmanship. When shipped to us it arrived slightly damaged. That is, one of the brass tubes (the entire section from the upper to lower part) came undone and it arrived separated from the instrument). I put it back into place and it seems to have snugly held nicely but it really needs to be brazed into place like repairing a piece of copper piping. Other than that the piece is fine but for a few shallow dents here and there. 29" long overall with brass mouth piece. Trumpet is brass plated copper and is darkly tarnished and stained with toning. Needs a really good polishing as it looks like it sat in some farmer's barn since the war. Bell is impressed with HJ swastika diamond and what appears to be a date '5  39'. Bell is pretty much intact, no major dents, but it is disfigured a bit. Hey, I got it back together again and it looks great but it might separate again from being jostled in the mail. EXC++
