Comes with 1981-dated, typed, letter from Max-Eckart Wolffe to an American officer and references Wolffe's gift to him of his 1939 Wound Badge in Black which is indeed framed with this grouping. 12x16" smooth black-finished wooden frame with decorative gold lines and behind glass. Has wire hanger on back and typical professional framer's brown kraft paper. Framed with high quality and beveled gray mat board...showing photo of Eckart-Wolffe in uniform and wearing his '39 Knight's Cross. This photo has genuine autograph in blue ink. Photo reprint and autograph are post-war of course. Also a photo of Eckart-Wolffe's destroyer underway at sea. Below is Eckhart-Wolffe's 1939 Wound Badge in Black which he attests in typed letter was his and awarded to him for a wound received during the Battle of Narvik.
