G542.)LUFTWAFFE AERIAL GUNNER'S BADGE AND AWARD DOCMENT: badge has been examined by two expert and approved as genuine period. It's a wartime piece with gray alloy wreath, cut-out swastika. Shows toning to a gray cast. Diving eagle motif is blackened alloy. Has two perfectly domed rivets on the back, hinge is integral to badge's construction. Marked on both the back of the wreath and on the eagle with the stylized letter 'A' logo (looks like a protractor) of the Assmann & Sohne firm. Has long, blunt pin. Formal award document is 8x11" dimensions and printed on fine quality paper stock. Has been folded. At top is LW eagle motif and 'Berleichungsurkunde' (award document). With typed name to NCO 'Unteroffiziere Heinz Burgard' and dated at Berlin '24.Februar 1941'. Awards him the Luftwaffe 'das Abzeichen fur Fliegerschutzen'. Signed at the bottom by Luftwaffe general officer and Chief of the Luftwaffe Personnel Office. EXC++++
