G602.)SA DAGGER, 'GROUND ROHM' TYPE: pre-RZM and a genuine 'ground Rohm' example. Nickel-plated blade is still bright on the motto side and shows prominent cross-graining workmanship. In/out wear too from scabbard action. Has a deeply etched 'Alles fur Deutschland' motto; some minor blemishing to the surface here and there. No extra sharpening to the blade's edges. Only faint traces of the Rohm dedication are evident on the back. Although the dedication itself has been effaced there are distinct remains evident here and there. The motto was heavily ground off. In the proper slanted lighting you can actually discern the phantom traces of nearly the entire dedication. Crisply marked with premiere maker on the reverse ricasso squirrel-grasping-sword logo and 'CARL EICKHORN, SOLINGEN'. Blade is snugly fitted into the lower cross-guard. Cross-guards are the early nickel-silver type. Lighter shade wooden grip, intact with no scratches nor any chips. Perfect nickel-silver national eagle inset, fine enameled SA button above. Grip shows a few minor gaps between grip and cross-guards, from shrinkage over the years. Reverse of lower cross-guard is die-struck with 'Fr. for SA-Gruppe Franken'. Early anodized steel scabbard shows lots of age and oxidation browning. Early nickel-silver scabbard throat and drag, all four screws are present. No dents to scabbard.
