Reverse has gothic type inscription 'Deutsche Verdienst-Medaille'. Underside of pendent is marked with silver content and maker '835 PR.MUNZE, BERLIN'. Also marked with crescent moon silversmith hallmark. Clean ribbon with typical German pin-back clasp. Comes in fine 3x5" red leatherette case, hinged and with functioning spring button catch at front. Embossed national eagle on lid. Interior is lined with plush black velvet and is recessed to hold both pendent and pin-back clasp. Upper interior of case is lined with padded white satin and is gold printed 'Deutsche Verdienstmedaille'. Case shows mild wear and age. EXC++++
