Reads true magnetic north. 2 1/2" wide solid brass body, 1 1/2" tall and with large brass loop for lanyard. Has hinged lid that flips up showing reticule, hinged sight on the opposite side. Underside of frame is marked with British army issue 'Broad Arrow Proof' and this instrument's designation 'MKIII'. Dated '1944' and with maker 'TG.Co. Ltd., London'. Also serial numbered '298076'. Brown leather case is soft and supple and entirely intact. Has brass adjustment buckle and leather tightening tab. EXC++++
