Typical nautical wool construction with 35x54"dimensions being and double-sided details. Fashioned of two separate panels machine sewn together -- one white, one blue -- and showing communist hammer and sickle along with red Soviet star superimposed with anchor surrounded with wreath. Has tan canvas bunting with rope loops at ends. Printed on bunting with red ink Russian cyrillic characters. As was common with so many Soviet Russian and East German military items this flag was tailored identically to a German 3rd Rch nautical standards having separately machine sewn on woolen cloth panels in the corners and parallel rows of machine stitching on the tips....both designed to prevent wear from wind-whipping.
