US620.)WWII 1st ALLIED AIRBORNE ARMY BULLION WIRE EMBR SLEEVE PATCH: this one's questionable. I think there's a good chance that it's genuine period. It's exquisitely hand embroidered with gold and silver bullion wire details, now handsomely toned with years of tarnish. Details are embroidered on a ribbed sky blue underlay. Gold bullion wire embroidered 'ALLIED AIRBORNE' scroll at top is on a ribbed black silk-like fabric. The backing material is the typical tan gauze-like fabric used during the period and there are remains of thin black tissue paper (typical post-war German occupation). This patch just radiates age and originality. EXC++++
