G450.)NSFK KEPI: splendid example of the National-Socialist Flying Corps kepi. Tailored of high quality blue-gray wool and shows a superb profile and shape. Perfect. Piped around the crown with yellow wool and around the decorative flap too. At front is NSDAP national eagle, the correct type for the NSFK kepi...slightly upturned wings and constructed of stamped aluminum. With 15mm wide silver pebbled button. Black patent leather chin strap fastened at sides with smooth, domed, black-finished buttons. At sides of cap are gray-finished metal ventilation grommets. Perfectly preserved clear moisture shield constructed of the proper celluloid (like old-time photographic film) and printed with silver details being tailor 'Bruno Zins, Berlin' and 'DEUTSCHE HANDWERKABREIT' (German Handmade Workmanship). Kepi is lined inside with blue brushed cotton and has genuine brown leather sweat band, soft and supple and completely intact. With paper size label '54'. Some minor moth tracking to wool on the rear of the crown, not detracting at all....a beautiful example all around and you'll agree.
