Formal award document, 5x8" format with printed '39 EKI at top and title 'Im Namen des Fuhrers und Obersten Befehlshabers der Wehrmacht' (In the Name of the Fuhrer and the High Command of the Armed Forces). With typed details naming Luftwaffe NCO 'Feldwebel Heiz Burgard' the 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class 'Eisernes Kreuz 2.Klasse'. Awarded to him in the field 'Im Felde' on '26 Januar 1942' and has crisp eagle/swastika ink stamp at lower left corner. Ink stamp has 'Generalkommando VIII. Fliegerkorprs' (Commanding General of the 8th Aviation Corps).
