G598.)IMPERIAL GERMAN WWI DESK CLOCK, BROKEN: handsome, large, imperial Iron Cros desk clock that's sadly broken (years ago by the look of it), 10" tall overall, 3x8" base. Burnished, bronze-finished, frame -- non-magnetic tin -- with clock in center having clear face. Clock no longer works and it's wound and the time is set from the back. On top is imperial eagle, 8" wing span. Eagle is broken off at both legs where attached to feet, however the eagle motif is mounted too on the back so it stays in place. Left wing tip is cracked although it's in place. At beak is displayed a really nice, original period '14 EKII. Ring is maker marked with unusual maker being letter 'W' flanked on either side with cloverleaf details. '14 EKII is black finished at the center, very nice state of preservation, magnetic, three-piece construction.
