Separately applied crossed swords device at top. Reverse has typical dedication for this series 'Deutsche Verdienste Medaille' (German Faithful Service Medal). Sword hilts are crisp as hell and perfect. Really impressive. Underside of pendent is marked with '835' silver content and crescent moon silversmith marking. Also with maker 'PR. MUNZE BERLIN' (for the Preussen Munze or Prussian Mint at Berlin). Clean, original, ribbon....no pinback device. Comes in 3x5" red leatherette case, hinged and with functioning spring button catch at front. Gold embossed national eagle on lid. Interior is lined with plush black velvet and is recessed to perfectly accommodate pendent. Upper interior is lined with padded white satin and is gold printed with 'Deutsche Verdienstmedaille'. Case is intact and shows some wear here and there. EXC++++
