G1073.)SS DAGGER, RZM TYPE: nice example, in its original state and totally un-fooled with. Clean nickel-plated blade shows light in/out wear from scabbard action, tip is perfect. No blemishing nor any rusting to surfaces and the 'Meine ehre heisst Treue' motto is dark and prominent. Nice. Reverse ricasso is etched with RZM logo and maker '1053/39' along with SS runes (WKC maker's code and dated 1939). Nickle-plated cross-guards show light graying and wear to finish. Some light 'lifting' to the silver finish around the edges. Overall in a great state of preservation. Note too that the cross-guards are snugly fitted to the black wooden grip. A couple of light scores to the wood, no cracks nor any chips. Aluminum national eagle motif is perfectly placed and flawless as is the enameled runic button at top. No burrs to the pommel nut. Smooth black finished scabbard likewise is in an outstanding state of preservation; nearly 98% of the original finish remains. A few minor scuffs and chips to enamel here and there. Nickel-plated scabbard throat and drag lightly toned with a handsome patina. No dents nor any creases to metal and all four screws are present. EXC++++
