Shows a perfect profile and shape, high peak. Tailored of the proper police green wool (a shade unique to the customs police) and piped with bottle-green wool. . This is a lovely visor cap. Dark green badge cloth wool cap band also piped top and bottom with bottle green. Black leather visor, all stitching strong and robust. Visor shows some crazing from heat. Customs police silver bullion wire chin cord intertwined with green. Both eagle and cockade are original to this cap and both are wartime gray alloy, separately applied national colors rosette in center of wreath. No holes through the lining from the eagle. Chin strap fastened at sides with 12mm wide silver pebbled buttons. Interior is lined with typical brown oil cloth fabric and has genuine gray leather sweat band, soft and supple and perfect. All the stitching inside is intact and strong. Marked inside to hat maker 'Peter Kupper, Wu.-Ronsdorf' along with size 56'. EXC++++
