G539.)CASED NSDPAP FOREIGNER'S PARTY BADGE: the fine glass enameled lapel badge that we're told was bestowed upon foreigners, a rare period badge indeed. 16mm wide (the size of a US dime) and highly vaulted, adorned with an exquisite cloisonne glass enamel application. In center is white swastika on a radiating sun ray red glass enamels. On the back is brass stud button for applying to the civilian attire button hole opening. Comes in hinged, 1 1/2 x 2" dark brown leatherette case with functioning spring button catch at front. Interior has a dark brown velvet pedestal that is deeply recessed to perfectly accommodate the clasp on the back. No way that this case wasn't made specifically for this very badge! Upper interior is lined with padded white satin. The surface of the glass enameling shows some scratches and disruptions from use. No cracks nor any chips. EXC+
