With red pencil 'X' through the inside page and on the front cover for killed-in-action. This NCO's photo is tied to inside cover and stapled in place. Named to 'Hebert Weninger' who served as an pionier with a German army railroad construction outfit. Page 1 shows that his rank at 'Gefreiter' and his unit as 'Eisb. Pi.Btl.2' ('Eisenbahn Pionier'=Railway construction). Pages 6 to 9 detail all of the equipment and clothing issued to him plus his immunizations shots. On pages 12 and 13 are hospitalizations, one for dysentery. Note the SS ink stamp on page 12 when he was hospitalized at 'SS-Lazerett Laibach' (SS field hospital). Book is intact and shows the typical wear and age from lots of use. EXC+++
