With beautifully executed white glass enameling, frosted gold alloy base. Just radiates quality. With initials in each quadrant 'P.L.K.V.' for Preussische-Landes-Kriegerverein (Prussian National War Veteran's League). Reverse has high quality hinge and tapered gold pin. Entire back of cross is finished with a handsome gold frosting and is marked to maker 'HCH TIMM, BERLIN C19'. Comes in 3" square decorative, gray cardboard carton printed on the lid with this award's Prussian designation 'Kriegervereins-Ehrenkreuz I.Klasse' (War Veteran's League Honor Cross 1st Class). Interior has raised pedestal that holds cross in place. Just outstanding. Both cross and carton are in a superb+ state of preservation. EXC++++
