Heavy and solid bronze 65x75mm table medal with glass enameled details showing raised relief Cologne cathedral profile and DRL eagle/swastika (Deutscher Reichsbund fur Leibesungen or DRL). Flanked on either side with glass enameled NSDAP and British flags. Date is '1939' and with 'DEUTSCHLAND-ENGLAND LEICHTATHLETICK LANDER KAMPF i. KOLN a./RH' (Light Athletics Competition between England and Germany at Cologne). Reverse is engraved with 'DEM DRITTEN im 200 m LAUF' (3rd Place Winner in the 200 meter race). Comes in hinged, 4" square black leatherette case with functioning spring button catch at front. Interior is lined with plush black velvet and is recessed to perfectly hold table medal. Upper interior is lined with padded white fabric. In a superb+ state of preservation. EXC++++
