G793.)GERMAN ARMY OFFICER'S DAGGER: nice Horster specimen with clean, nickel-plated blade. Shows mild in/out wear from scabbard action and a few scattered blemishes here and there. No rust, no finger prints. Mild sharpening to edge evident only if you hold it in the right lighting. Reverse ricasso etched with maker's 'EFH' monogram logo and 'E.&F. Horster, Solingen'. Has its brown leather buffer pad. Both the cross-guard and pommel are silver plated, pommel shows light wear to finish. Dark pumpkin shade composition grip, has one tiny chip which is hidden by the knot cord. Has its original silver bullion dagger knot tied in the correct configuration. Very mild wear and age to the knot. Silver finish on scabbard is pretty much intact, mild age blemishing and a bit of oxidation browning here and there. No dents nor any creases to metal. Single scabbard throat screw is present. Nice set of hangers which show mild age, not much wear just aging from the years. Silver metallic fabric has some toning to it, silver finished zinc alloy buckles are toned too. Both spring clips function perfectly. Backing on straps is dark green velvet. EXC++++
