G453.)1914-1918 HAMBURG HONOR CROSS: super-fine example. 53mm wide and vaulted. Constructed of nickel-silver alloy and with separately applied infantryman in the center. White enamel cross superimposed and with frosted gold crossed swords. Reverse has high quality hinge and typical cotter pin type clasp. Reverse has two brass rivets and is marked with 'Deutsches Feld-Ehrenzeichen' (German Field Honor Cross). Couple of absolutely tiny and miniscule hairlines to white enamel, not detracting at all.
