G571.)NSFK FLYING KORPS DAGGER: a splendid early specimen of the highest quality. Clean, mirror-like, nickel-plated steel blade showing only minor in/out wear from scabbard action. Cross-graining workmanship is evident. No blemishing, no rusting nor any oxidation toning to blade, no finger printing. Reverse ricasso is marked with etched 'seated king with sword' logo and 'SMF, Solingen'. Has dark blue leather buffer pad. Nickel-silver cross guard (one end is die-struck with letter 'K') and pommel both in superb condition, perfect black enameling on swastikas. Dark blue leather covered grip is quite perfect, only minor age, no scuffs nor any scrapes. Dark blue leather covered scabbard with nickel-plated fittings. All screws are present on scabbard throat and drag. No dents. Dark blue leather on scabbard is similarly in a fine state of preservation. Just minor wear and age, no scuffs nor any scrapes. Scabbard throat at opening is marked with desirable NSFK eagle motif and inspector's proof and '96'. Also 'N' and '215'. Has its brown leather hanger with nickel-silver spring clip at end. Leather on hanger is intact but shows wear and age to surface.
