G653.)HJ DIARY AND SERVICE TIME CHRONCLE: a spectacular offering that's too complex and superb for me to fully describe here. It's a magnificent piece all around. Completely hand-done with tons of watercolors and artwork all done by the HJ member himself and chronicles his time in the HJ.9x11" format, hardbound being an artist's watercolor sketchbook. Front page is a watercolor title by him in silver 'CHRONIK' (chronicle or history of experiences). Below is 'Landjahrlager-Hormersdorf'=Year-Long Service in the Interior at Hornersdorf, Saxony. Dated '1936-1937' and includes dozens of hand-done, inked cartoons showing HJ camp life, comrades, annoying officers and NCO's, marksmanship, typical military life, mess hall, classroom instruction. This sketchbook also is a photo album and there are sixty-five (65) outstanding black and white snapshots and photos all showing HJ camp life, comrades, rifle training, work projects, etc. Very cartoonish drawings of British Prime Minister Chamberlain, Churchill too. One hand drawn watercolor is really spectacular....shows the World War One German Reichmarine fleet --  and the imperial Kaisermarine war flag sunk and at the bottom of the sea --  while on the surface is the new 3rd RCH Kriegsmarine with the more modern national war flag. All of the personnel photos on the last two pages are of the staff at this HJ work camp. Forty-three (43) pages total but remember these pages are watercolor paper so the album is thick. One of the pages had been torn but has been nicely repaired (no tape used). I cannot overstate just how fine this album is...oh, so unique. EXC++++
