G663.)TWO 3rd RCH AWARD DOCUMENTS NAMED TO SAME GERMAN NAVAL OFFICER: two formal award documents mounted to a backing board and with old wooden frame. Obviously done many years ago as the backing tape and board are ancient. Both 5x8" documents are pasted to board. Named to KM officer 'Leutnant zur See Max Petersen' (leutnant zur see='naval lieutenant'). First document is for the 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class and is dated at the French coastal port of 'St Naziere den 18.Juni 1940'. With Kriegsmarine issuing agency ink stamp and signed by 'Kapitan zur See'. Companion document is for the High Seas Fleet Badge 'Flotten=Kriegsabzeichen' and is dated '27.September 1941'. Shows that at the time he was served aboard the 'Schlachtschiffes Tripitz' (Battleship Tirpitz'). Shows a lot of age and wear and priced accordingly.
