G1068.)WEIMAR ERA 1926-DATED DOCUMENT SIGNED BY von HINDENBURG: von Hindenburg certainly had an impressive signature, massive and bold. Document is official government business out of his office in Berlin, 9x12" format with printed title at top 'Der Reichsprasident'. Dated 'Berlin, den 8. Oktober 1926' and with typed details wishing Berlin resident 'Emil Zimdar Dreher' a happy golden anniversary 'dem seltenen Fest goldenen Hochzeit'. von Hindenburg sends heartfelt greetings and his best wishes. Continues with wishing Dreher -- no doubt an acquaintance of von Hindenburg's -- happiness with his family in his sunset years. Letter was folded into quarters and has massive Weimar eagle motif (the official seal of von Hindenburg's office) at lower left corner. Note too the watermark on this paper....hold the sheet up to a light and note the paper company's watermark 'Manila (the type of paper) Schreibenmaschinen' with 'winged wheel' logo too. Has some old tape repairs on the back of letter, not detracting. EXC++++
