Tailored of a fine quality black wool; high peak and nice profile and shape. Piped around the crown with the proper micro-braided gold bullion cord. Piped too around the upper and lower black wool cap band. Both eagle and wreath are impeccably hand embroidered in gold bullion wire, stunning workmanship on both. Eagle and cockade are on cut-to-shape black wool and are impeccably hand sewn on. Gold bullion wire details are attractively toned from the years. Black patent leather visor too is aged from the years; intact and perfect, brown underside. With gold bullion braided chin cord fastened at sides with 12mm wide gold pebbled buttons. Inside of cap is lined with gray satin-like fabric and has intact brown leather sweat band; decorative white satin bow at rear seam. Has celluloid moisture shield (not the soft and pliable type found on modern, crappy caps today). This cap is circa 1980's. It's not one of the junky caps being marketed recently.  EXC++++
