Everything about this badge just radiates age and quality; you'll be really challenged to recognize this stunner as being the counterfeit that it is. Waves motif is finished with a burnished gun metal blackening which is contrasted with the natural steel E-boat motif. Gold finish on wreath is handsomely tarnished. Note too how crisp this badge is....easily would sell as genuine. Reverse has a gray gun metal finish and top hook. Quality hinge and tapered nickel-silver horizontal swing pin. Crisply marked with raised relief letters 'FEC.W.E.PEEKHAUS BERLIN' (the designer) and 'AUSF.SCHWERIN BERLIN 68' (the maker). None finer. EXC++++
