This is the type of Observer Badge that was approved from wear in October 1917. Genuine silver half wing, 50mm wide (2"wide). With separately applied gold letters 'US' on American shield. Note the engraved wing feathers, fletching. Reverse has horizontal swing pin and die-struck with 'STERLING'. If genuine this is easily a $650 wing! EXC++++
