RD610.)CASED 1939 KNIGHT'S CROSS: nice example, aged and convincing. 3-piece construction with smooth, black-finished, magnetic center. Radiates convincing age. 42mm wide and 53.5mm high from the base of the lower cross arm to the top of the eyelet. Some age and toning to the center on both sides. Silver frame is nearly black with old tarnish. Upper reverse of frame is die-struck with silver content '800' and maker's code 'L/12'. Silver suspension loop is perfect. Comes in 3x6" black leatherette case with silver embossed 'LDO' on lid, functioning spring button catch at front. Interior of case is lined with plush black velvet and is recessed to hold cross and with wide slot above to accommodate 12" length of folded '39 KC ribbon. Upper interior of case is lined with plush white satin. Case shows some age. It's intact and closes tightly. EXC++++
