RD305.)GERMAN ARMY INFANTRY OFFICER'S VISOR CAP: fabulous old piece of workmanship. Displays a high peak, nice profile and perfect shape. Tailored of a German army field gray wool and piped around the crown and above/below the dark green badge cloth wool cap band with white wool. At front is stamped silver alloy national eagle (appears to be original) and hand embroidered silver bullion cockade below. Wreath is padded and thick, three-dimensional, and on cut-to-shape field green wool undelay. Black leather visor with brown underside. Nice silver bullion officer's chin cord fastened at sides with silver pebbled buttons. Inside has brown leather sweatband, soft and supple and with all stitching strong and intact. Interior is lined with French-printed paper. Very  convincing and suggesting of course that this officer's cap was tailored in France during the occupation. Really a handsome cap; you'll like it.
