RD383.)WWII USO CAMP SHOWS OVERSEAS CAP: I'd say that this is an old copy but I'm not entirely certain. Female type garrison cap, OD brown officer quality elastique wool with machine sewn on USO eagle patch. This patch is 3 1/2" long and shows heavy machine embroidered details on cut-to-shape crimson wool underlay. Interior of cap is lined with green silk and has dark green cloth sweat band. Nothing glows on this cap. EXC++++

This cap is certainly genuine period. However, the USO wool patch could have been machine sewn on after the war. Who could possibly tell. A good friend of mine who's a US WWII militaria guy asserts that this cap is likely genuine period all around. Note too how it's cut in the WWI garrison cap fashion, not like WWII US Army.
