RD529.)IMPERIAL RUSSIAN CUIRASSIER GUARD'S DRESS HELMET: a spectacular vintage museum piece that just radiates quality and age. Not a new piece of junk, it's very vintage and we're told that it's at least fifty+ years old. Can only be described as impressive as hell. Please ask for more up-close and detailed photos. Note the attached link below showing an original period Russian guard's helmet being currently offered on-line and it's priced at $20,000. This gem quality museum copy is just as fine. It's 16" tall overall and has smooth brass body now attractively toned with years of patina. Nickel imperial eagle motif on crown. This has the Czar Nicholas II royal escutcheon on its chest, crown at top. At front of helmet is separately applied starburst with Russian cyrillic letters. Helmet has nickel-silver trim around the entire border and domed rivets on its lobster tail reverse. Officer's brass scales chin strap with brown leather backing and  correctly fastened at sides with brass rosette on the wearer's left side, Romanov royal colors cockade on the opposite. Underside of visors lined with crimson velvet and has the correct liner with tan leather sweat band; silk skull cap liner inside of tan silk-like fabric. Helmet displays perfectly, no dents.
