RD590.)SS STANDARD BEARER'S BREAST SHIELD: totally spectacular counterfeit and one made to screw you. This gem just came to us out of a long-standing collection where it resided for years as genuine. I cannot praise this stunner enough; you won't be disappointed. Slight vaulted, high quality silver alloy and handsomely burnished and toned with patina. 100x194mm. With separately applied SS eagle that's constructed of a super-high quality silver alloy. It's sculpted and three-dimensional. In each upper corner is 22mm wide SS runic button of high quality nickel-silver. Man, this shield is just magnificent. Reverse has black wool backing fabric and three silver alloy prongs one of which is die-struck with RZM logo and maker's code 'M1128' (Eugen Schmidhaussler). Neck chain is of equally high quality; 21 nickel-silver links showing alternating motifs being totenkopf skull and SS runes. Each end of chain has the proper triangular shaped clasp and on each of the mounting prongs are graduated locking teeth to keep the chain from coming undone (just like an original). Ask for more photos of this sensational vintage forgery that would easily pass as original. EXC++++
