Constructed of quality steel that doesn't bend when flexed between the palms. Has its original wartime finish beneath a white-washed winter camouflaged application. Shows lots of wear and age from field use, wear around the rim and on the crown. Very convincing, great restoration workmanship. You'll love it. LW eagle has been painted around and shows some scuffs and scrapes from field use. On the opposite side is national colors shield, also worn and aged and very, very convincing. Wire shroud for foliage shows lots of wear and oxidized browning, missing a few pieces here and there which adds to this exceptional helmet's appeal. Brown leather liner inside is aged and darkened, high quality pigskin leather. Same with the intact gray leather chin harness, soft and supple and intact. Faintly maker marked at rear underside with shell size too 'Q64' (?) and production code '3892'. EXC++++
