OC991.)TWO (2) WWII ITALIAN ARMY OFFICER'S CAP DEVICES: handsome grouping of two cap insignia, one being for an armored artillery officer with the other is for an infantry officer. Both are impeccably hand embroidered and bolstered -- three-dimensional details -- on Italian army field gray wool underlay. The armored infantry device is 3x3" while the infantry officer is 4x5". Note that the armored infantry patch shows two cross cannon barrels with a bullion embroidered tank motif below. This one has its original paper maker's label on the reverse -- 'Ponte Calvi, Via Gramsci 3, Genova'. The infantry officer's cap eagle still has its original paper price tag '600 lire' (which was close to a $4 value back in 1941). EXC++++
