Pockets are pleated patch type with scalloped flaps, field gray wartime buttons. Has typical zig-zag machine stitching beneath the collar. Tunic is aged and is very convincing; looks genuine period. High quality officer's collar tabs machine applied to collar. These are wartime subdued silver hand embroidered bullion on dark green badge cloth wool underlay with golden-rod yellow center piping for reconnaissance. On shoulders are slip-on boards for army colonel-leutnant having single gold rank pip and gold 'GD' monogram devices for the German army Grossdeutschland Division. Shoulder buttons are field gray pebbled. Breast eagle is a stunning hand embroidered silver bullion type of the highest quality. It's on cut-to-shape dark green badge cloth wool and is machine sewn on. On wearer's right cuff is the cuff-title for the Grossdeutschland Division, likewise machine sewn on. This cuff-title shows impeccably hand embroidered silver bullion wire script details on black wool underlay. In the second button hole opening are the ribbons for the '39 Iron Cross 2nd Class and Russian Front Medal. Note too three sets of loops for badges on the wearer's right pocket. Inside has the correct gray satin-like partial lining and aluminum belt ramp hooks. Has buttoned first aid dressing pouch. About a US size '42'.
