This old gem just radiates age, very convincing. 38" long overall, slightly curved steel blade showing convincing dark gray patina. Cast brass hilt just like a real one...oh, so nice. With acanthus leaves and floral motifs along with 'CS'. Black leather covered grip has brass wire wrap. Grip shows very convincing wear and age, completely intact. Brass hilt and guard. Design is nearly identical to its M1850 Union Army counterpart. Outstanding old forgery. EXC++++
