RD1093.)WAFFEN-SS MOUNTAIN INFANTRY 'PRINZ EUGEN' POCKET WATCH IN CASE: splendid, dangerous, and very clever old collectible. Pocket watch is a genuine Swiss-made example, radiates age and is indeed vintage itself,  runs smoothly. Has glass face with white, porcelain with black and red numbers. Maker is Swiss watch company, 'Omega'. Inside of hinged back is serial numbered '6913664' which dates this pocket watch to around 1927. See note below. Back of watch's silver case is crisply marked with impressive '7.SS Frw.Gebirgs. Div. Prinz Eugen' with date '1943'. Has edelweiss flower in center. Comes in hinged and hand carved pocket watch carrier...remarkable quality and just beautifully carved showing Edelweiss flower in center. Even the hinge is carved wood and the interior opens to reveal green felt-lined compartment for pocket watch and its ring at top. Base is also hand-carved with perfect letters for alpine location 'Zakopane'. This is an extraordinary old collectible. The only reason why you'd know that this is a clever old restoration piece is because we are telling you that it is. The watch is genuine and the case is too, it's the Waffen-SS details that were added post-war....but you wouldn't know that! EXC++++
