US1112.)WORLD WAR ONE US ARMY M1910 CANTEEN AND COVER: light khaki shade #3 canvas duck cover with brass snap buttons and brass wire hanger on back. Boldly stenciled 'U.S' on front. Generally clean with some soiling, very little wear showing. Underside of flap is marked with maker 'PROGRESSIVE' and date 'DEC.1917'. It's so uncommon to find these with 1917 dates; typically they're late 1918 dated so this one's desirable for sure. Aluminum water bottle with chain intact on cap. Canteen is marked with 'U.S. property symbol and maker and date 'AGM Co.1918'. Comes with drinking cup too that's marked 'U.S.' and maker 'B.A.Co. 1918'. EXC++++
