US1114.)POST-WWII  GENERAL HEADQUARTERS SLEEVE PATCH, JAPANESE-MADE: a stellar circa 1947 occupation of Japan period patch, MacArthur's Headquarters. Note too the purple shade to the flag motif which is post-war versus the HQ's SW Pacific patch which showed a blue flag. This patch is meticulously embroidered with yellow and purple cord and its on a handsome dark khaki twill, an Asian fabric and nothing quite like American material. Note too the finely detailed green cord border around the edges. Back of patch has an off-white muslin fabric. Has been removed from a uniform. Extremely desirable US patch. EXC++++
