Because of the strict eligibility windows established by U.S. Army regulations, every single one of these 325 recipients earned their awards for serving on the ground as infantrymen in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. [1, 2]
Their names are permanently commemorated on a dedicated enshrinement display at the National Infantry Museum. [1]
