US1118.)KOREAN WAR ERA US NAVY CPO'S BULLION SLEEVE RATING: the highest non-commissioned officer rank of Master Chief PO with two stars at top. Cut directly from the CPO khaki wool service tunic and still sewn to fragment of uniform sleeve wool. Even has some of the satin-like lining on the back side. This is an early sleeve rating with dark navy blue ratings being separately applied. Eagle is hand embroidered silver bullion wire and now toned and handsomely tarnished. Eagle is sculpted and padded and is three-dimensional. Super high quality workmanship and even the eagle beak is adorned with red thread. Occupational specialty is that of quartermaster (navigation and ship steering) and has silver bullion wire embroidered ship's wheel. Note too the two bullion rank stars at top separately applied. All of the silver bullion wire details are very appealingly tarnished. EXC+++++

A U.S. Navy Quartermaster (QM) is a petty officer specializing in ship navigation, steering, and bridge watch duties, rather than supply or logistics
