With coin-like raised relief profile portrait of Austrian emperor Franz Josef. Shows him in uniform and with inscription 'FRANZ JOSEF' and bronze medallion artist's initials and date 'R.N. 1915'. Reverse has inscription with Franz Josef's signature and date '1914-1915'. Border is black glass enameling  and commemorative dates '1914-1916'. Comes in 4" square hinged case with functioning spring button at front. Inside of case is lined with plush ivory shade velvet and is recessed to perfectly home table medal.
