When placed on the floor the user would place one foot on the base to hold it in place while placing the heel of the opposite boot inside the 'U'-shaped opening and pull upwards. Note the slot for the stirrup. Underside is branded with Wehrmacht eagle (waffenamt) and letters 'HU' for 'Heeresunterkunft' (German Army Issue). Intact but for some small worm holes to wood here and there. EXC++++
