Reads true north with red-tipped, luminescent floating needle. Mounted to clear plexiglas base that is ruled with millimeters. Has hinged black crinkle-finished lid with reflection plate on the inside. Marked in the lower corner with waffenamt eagle/swastika proof and date '1939'. Also marked with Swedish crown and serial number '39705'. Has soft and supple 14" long brown leather strap with button hole opening at one end for fastening to tunic. Comes in its smooth brown leather case with brass stud button fastener, wide sleeve at the back for fixing to belt. Case too is marked with Swedish crown and date '39'.
