Constructed of a quality nickels silver alloy, solid and with black finished 'GAU BADEN' and base. Just a beautiful badge and shows quite a bit of its original frosting. Reverse has the correct hinge and long, pointed pin with hooded catch at base. Die-struck on the back with serial number to individual recipient '3684'. Also, marked to maker 'FR.KLETT, KARLSRUHE'.
